***UPDATE: 10-14-2010 (Please note that I am in no way affiliated with Ozeri)
I feel obligated to update my experiences with this scale and company, Ozeri. If you read below the dotted lines, my scale broke down after a month and a couple of days of use. Since I was out of my return window, Amazon would have to charge me a 50% restocking fee and as well as the shipping fees that I have to eat up to ship it back to them. No way I would resort to this option. So it was in my best interest to just chalk this up as a loss and avoid any scale made by Ozeri in the future.
On October 11, 2010, something happened that was totally unexpected. I was contacted by the company, Ozeri. The representative assured me that they stand behind their products and name. I was told that the built-in sensor in this scale is very sensitive, and if not packaged properly while in-transit, the scale could be damaged, such is the case for me. I was offered, free of charge I might add, a replacement program in which I send out my defective unit in exchange for a brand new one. I received the new unit almost immediately on October 13, 2010. All I had to do was put my defective scale back inside the box and use their pre-paid shipping label. They made it very convenient.
The new unit is working properly and looks great as always. Though it's too early to tell if the scale will remain functional a month from now, I will say that Ozeri really surprised me for stepping up to the plate. I am thrilled and happy they offered me a replacement. Often times you have to fight tooth and nail to get a company to recognize a problem, but in this case, Ozeri actually contacted me without me ever approaching them. You don't see that happening in this day and age where a company accepts accountability and reaches out to customers.
For those with a bitter taste in their mouth or those looking to purchase a nice looking budget scale, I encourage you all to give Ozeri a try. Again, just for the record, I do not work for Ozeri or affiliated with them in any way. Thanks for reading, I hope this helps somebody out there.

I received this on August 26, 2010. Out of the box, the scale looks magnificent, much better than my old scale. On October 1, 2010 the scale completely went haywire. Bear in mind that I had only a 30-day return window, so by this time it had already expired.
I ignored all the negative feedbacks, but in hindisght, they were right. I should not have made this purchase and I'm really angry because I just missed the return window and am now out of money. Sure, my old scale might have been ugly, but it sure did not encounter any quality control issues like this scale. I'm very disappointed and I can't believe this thing was a complete dud and a waste of money.
When I step on the scale now, it would either not respond until I move around on the scale or it would weigh incorrectly. I'm not a large person by any means. I weigh 145 lbs (give or take a few lbs.). The scale would read me 145 lbs, but most of the times 24.3 lbs, sometimes 19.8 lbs, sometimes 22.3 lbs... you get the drift. This thing just throws out random numbers or something. The LCD screen keeps flickering numbers ranging from 15 lbs to 148 lbs like if it's some kind of a big joke and then proceeds to stop on a totally random number.
At first I thought it was the batteries acting up. I decided to change them out for new ones, but nope, that wasn't it because the scale still thinks I weigh 20 lbs. No one in my household weighs more than 180 lbs, this scale is capable of weighing up to 400 lbs. And this scale always sits inside the bathroom, never moved around. So I think it's safe to say we never abused this scale.
They should really look into quality control. I'll never be buying from this company again until things are fixed. Unless you do not value money, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SCALE!

Do not purchase the Ozeri Bathroom Scale!, November 28, 2010
This review is from: Elite Series II Digital Bathroom Scale with 5" Blue Backlit xBright LCD and InstaOn Technology, by Great Scales. (Health and Beauty)
I purchased the Ozeri Bathroom scale from Amazon in September 2010. The scale worked for one month.
There are many reviews indicating that this product from Ozeri is defective. You would think that Amazon would help and provide support for customers that have purchased this defective product but that is not the case. I have sent an email to Ozeri requesting a refund. I will provide follow up as soon as I hear from the company.
Please do not make the same mistake and do not buy this defective product from Ozeri.
**Update** I was able to return it to Amazon for a refund.
The company that made the scale also told me they would exchange it but I decided not to risk it and got my money back.

Worked for 3 months!, November 28, 2010

Loved this scale. Got it in September 2010. It's now November 2010. Worked well, until last week. Now the LCD display fluctuates greatly and often times displays "EEEE" in error. I tried replacing the batteries and nothing works. DO NOT BUY. Now I have to see what Ozeri is going to offer in exchange, if anything at all.
UPDATE 04/27/2011 - Contacted Ozeri in December 2010. Was told my customer service that they were sending a replacement within the next 10 business days. It's now April 27th 2011. I've received nothing.
