Hi, I am an advanced amateur photographer who has been in this art since youth.

Respectfully, this is a poor quality camera that takes poor quality pictures.

It has some features to take pictures with distortion so that they look kind of "funny", as when you are in front of curved mirrors.

My daughters are 6 and 4 years old and didn't liked this camera, probably because they already know how to use my point & shoot camera (panasonic lumix); we think it is boring for kids over 6 if the idea is to own a real camera to take real pictures as my daughters desire to.

Also, it is not easy to operate by 3-4 years old kids. Expensive toy if just for fun.

I would advice you to buy a better camera for your kids, after this one I bought an OlympusOlympus Stylus Tough 6000 10MP 2.7 LCD Digital Underwater Camera (Camouflage) (waterproof & shock-absorbing technology protects it from drops of up to 5 feet) that now they really enjoy and they are taking absolutely nice & amazing pictures, they take it to the pool and trips and it is intact although it has been a little abused.... jejeje...kids are kids ....

Advertisement: "Manufacturer recommended age: 7 - 15 year" .... I think this is not a good idea.

Pros: I returned item to amazon before deadline and my money was refunded to my credit card. ¡Amazon is Amazon!

I go this for my 9 year old son for a gift. He really likes the fact that he can take pictures of himself. They turn out pretty well too. The photoshop like element that lets him do crazy things to the photos is also fun.

My granddaughter loves this camera. Takes great pictures but had to send back to Digital blue after taking it on vacation. I placed the pictures on my computer but after that the camera wouldn't operate. I contacted them and went through the steps they provided but still couldn't get it to work. So I sent it to them and they did fix the camera at no charge.

I'd sum it up in that this is an easy camera for my 8 year old to use and she's having a lot of fun taking pictures with it.

I bought this for Christmas so she's only had it for a few weeks. But she's taken tons of pictures. Being able to swivel it to take pictures of herself has added a lot. She & her friend like to dress up and make goofy faces. All the features were pretty self explanatory so she didn't have to read any directions.
