4.0 out of 5 stars 3 Versions of this album!
This album is great, but I just wanted to let everyone know that there are actually *three* versions of this album available (not including the clean version and 17 track pre-release promo version), so pick one of those up if you're lucky enough to find them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rza is a great producer, but he can be more original
The first Bobby Digital was unreplaceable, it couldnt be any better, but this album is sub-par. If this was his first solo joint then it would be nice, but since this isnt as great as his first I cant give it a high number of stars. Pick the album up for yourself you might feel differently. Average hip-hop album here, a must have if you are just a die hard wu fan, I used...

This album is great, but I just wanted to let everyone know that there are actually *three* versions of this album available (not including the clean version and 17 track pre-release promo version), so pick one of those up if you're lucky enough to find them.

*Version #1: This one (18 tracks)

*Version #2: 19 tracks, all the songs included in this release, plus one extra track, "Thirsty" featuring Beretta 9. (This was only available in limited quantities but is not a "limited" edition) This was supposed to be the original version of this CD, but was discontinued due to some kind of conflict.

*Version #3: Limited edition; 20 tracks, all the songs included in original release (except "Thirsty"), plus 2 bonus tracks, "Cousins" with Doc Gyneco and "Oddyssey" feat. Isaac Hayes Band.

Those bonus tracks are bangin', so pick em up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Must be Bobby, August 30, 2001

Rza is at again, piano chords and dark beats laced with the trademark flow. Bobby D has always had the most underrated flow from Shaolin and he's out to open some more third eyes with this ablum. Guest drops that stand out are Meth on "Glocko Pop", Big Gipp and Tony Touch on "D.V. #2", Gza on "Do U" and Junior Reid on Righteous Way. I was hooked after the first five songs, I had to start the disc over just to bug again off the brillance of Digital B. Oh, I can't leave out an appearance by the ODB who reps like a man on work release. This is another Wu-Tang album and should be picked up by any WU fan, Bobby is the head...A couple of songs on side 2 do not keep up with the level set on side one, but no disappointments... RZA "F**kin up the mic is still my hobby".

5.0 out of 5 stars RZA - RZA As Bobby Digital, December 25, 2005
This review is from: Digital Bullet (Audio CD)
A solid second album by RZA. He uses the same types of styles that he used in his first album. He succeeded well on this album. In lyrics and production. It has the same vibe throughout the whole album, just like RZA does. Genius production, let me break down my opinions for you.

Lyrics, wow RZA rips it up again. I think he might have done a "BIT" better on his first album than this one. But not by far, the lyrics on here and by far good. He speaks on real life topics just like on every track he spits on. There isnt a track where I think that RZA spit something weak. One track that stands out lyrically where he drops knowledge is the song called "Build Strong", he drops that real stuff. Lyrically, youll like the cd, if not you dont like real lyrics. There are funny sh** on here like "Black Widow Pt. 2" also. Look out on the lyrics when you listen to it!

Production wise, we already know RZA is a genius at his originality and how good he can keep a certain sound on an album on every single track. Well he does it here again just like he did on his first album. Every song has a certain vibe throughout it and theyall tie in together perfectly. If you liked his first album, and thought the production was hott, then youll definately be feeling this albums production. No weak beats at all, some are decent some are HOTT. Ill point out the hott ones! "Glocko Pop", "Must Be Bobby", "Brooklyn Babies", "Domestic Violence Pt. 2", "La Rhumba", "Black Widow Pt 2", "Throw Your Flag Up", "Build Strong", these are all hott beats.

Overall, this album is great. Lyrics are on point, and production, he does great throughout the whole album. Pick this up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Evolution of a New Wu Sound, September 1, 2001
By
This review is from: Digital Bullet (Audio CD)
The first bobby digital album I have to admit I didn't care for much. The first track (BOBBY) was original and suggested a step in a new direction for RZA, but most of the rest was the same stuff we've heard before and not even as good. It also didn't feature enough of the favorite clan members.
This album is all different. Throughout, RZA's tracks exhibit a new technological sound with a host of unexpected instrumental combinations, rhythms, and dissonant harmonies. This album more than any other Wu cd shows great artistic development for RZA. As for the rap, RZA's on point (as always) and most of the favorite Wu mems. are featured, including Killarmy and Black Knights members who drop great verses. Masta Killa and Prodigal Sun are some other highlights. Also worth mentioning, the last couple tracks contain some interesting verses that round out the album out with a serious and effective message against conventional society. This is definitely among the best Wu albums. Wu-Tang Forever God!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore Rza in full throttle!!!!!!, January 12, 2003

Mr.Diggs snapped with the release of this sh%t. Somewhere along the line inbetween "In Streeo" and this, Rza became more versatile than I ever imagined. With all the tight loops and breaks as his first, and newer styles that this cat makes up himself. I think he used an MP7 for this record. Bringing a never before heard sound to the Wu familia. He's my favorite and always will be. A great producer/music writer/rapper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watch Rza's GlockO pop! explosive, November 28, 2001

This album shines in more then 5 songs, therefore it is worth 5 stars. Most albums have 2-3 great songs this has over 5. Glocko Pop has to be the illest track on this album and i would include it as a WU Classic. Show you love is a great song also, When i play La rhumba the bass in my car kicks big time. Domestic violence 2 is stillmatic. Brooklyn babies shows rza telling an amazing story. The beats on this album are awkward like most rza beats from his previous album but you get a taste of how teh rza is 3rd dimensional. This is a must buy cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy it!, October 16, 2001

This records is much better than Wu-Tang Clan's "The W". Rza shows us his talent of produce and rap. One big reason why I bought it, is that it features ODB. One of my favourite tracks is "Glocko Pop" and it features Wu-Tang Clan. I've always liked Rza and I probably always will. I think his first record only featured a few good songs but on this album maybe 10 songs is great and the others is OK. So if you liked the first, you'll like this one even more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Readin books in the dark...., October 4, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Digital Bullet (Audio CD)
First off this is for sure a BOB DIGI album...Its all about those snake type women he comes across in his Digi life style...and the trouble they bring to him and his alter ego Rza. The production is a mix of old Wu ways with new Digi styles so it is diffrent and the lyrics are split between the fight of the Rza against the ways of Bobby and Bobby just enjoyin his ladies and hatein on them. There are some classics up in here .."Do you" uses the Wu revolutions violin and throws in a Digi twist to give you somethin new and dope. Songs like "must be Bobby" "Glock Go Pop" "throw up your Flags" "Be a Man" and "sickness" follow in that direction ,being a new mix of WU and Digi..some song will take you by surprise you and scare you away ,like "fools" "bong bong" "Shady" and "Brooklyn Babies" but they are what makes this album worth getting, the beat on Bong Bong is crazy Digi style and is a what this album is all about...If you felt the first Bobby Digi album be prepared this is a leap like that was for us WU fans but be sure and know Bobby has returned for the good

4.0 out of 5 stars 4-4.5 rating for 2nd bobby digital, September 4, 2001
This review is from: Digital Bullet (Audio CD)
Rza as Bobby Digital in Digital Bullet is dope. Bobby Digital as we all know is Rza's evil, bugged out, crazy side. from the gate this album is tight. maybe about 3 tracks I ain't feeling out of 18. My favorite tracks are "Show Your Love", "Can't Lose"(which features digi using an old soul sample and looping it). "Must Be Bobby", "Brooklyn Babies" with Masta Killa, "Do You", "Black Widow Pt 2" with ODB going nuts on an grimmy track.
"Break Bread", "Throw your Flag Up",(dope track) with Black Knights. "Be A Man"(which also samples an dope old soul sample). Then the last 3 tracks to me Bobby Digital turns back to Rza and comes with some deep lyrics. On "Build Strong" Rza fights with himself and maybe does not want to be Bobby Digital anymore(I bet this will be the last of Bobby Digital for now) hint- "The Cure" will finaly come out. "Sickness" is also my top favorite when Rza kicks some ill flow over a digital beat. The songs I did not feel are Domestic Violence 2, La Rumba is the wackest track should not be on this Album in the first place(way too Comercial for an Rza album, and Shady i think is flat to me also. The rest of the album is dope. Overall I think that the first Bobby Digital was a little more dope, because he had more bangers on it, but still this new Bobby Digital is worth the money, and without a doubt the best album Wu came with since that Ghost Dog Sdtk. For on the surface hip hop new Bobby Digital is ill.
