It's an average camera for the price. But since It's so cheap, it's a must have if your budget is $15.

Pay no attention to the user below, he seems very inexperienced.

I was even able to use it with Linux, not just Windows.

We bought one to monitor the remote temperature sensor in our equipment room and it works just as advertised. For the money, I don't think you can do much better.

A great product... I own three of them!

Plus:

* Can be clipped onto ur laptop
* compact

Minus:
Sometimes the nightvision is turned-on even though it is day, i.e., when the cam is in a comparatively dim-lit place, it starts glowing. And I hafta put it under the light source to turn it off.

The first day I got this webcam, the audio part of it doesn't work. Plus that the software is horrible. After a few days, the whole webcam doesn't work at all. The software cannot recognize the webcam. Besides, AIM or Yahoo Messenger cannot connect to it. The bottom line is DO NOT BUY THIS.

the night vision isn't that great, the one i have is actually better, but the quality of the camera during the day is excellent. easy to setup works great with xp

This camera is excellent for its price. I paid around $15 with shipping. I haven't used it with the audio part yet since I haven't had the need to. It works perfectly with Yahoo. Only thing preventing it from getting a 4/5 star rating is that the camera does not have Vista 64 drivers (not a major issue if you don't use that version of Windows) and there is no way to control the lights on it. Don't believe the "night vision" claims, just because it has 6 leds on the front that are turned on in low light environments does not mean it is night vision.

I would recommend this camera if you just need something cheap and simple.

Hey I bought an identically designed cam on this site that was for like 7.95 plus shipping. I think it was under 15.00 delivered. It is the exact design as this. This one does have some sales copy that sounds better. 1.3 Megapixel. The other identical one says on the package 1300k Pixels. That is another way to say 1.3 megapixel as far as I know. You will see the other one if you searh for it looks the same. All I can say is the other one is very clear. When your on the cam using it with messenger it is more than you need with a vivid sharp image. Go ahead and spend 40 dollars plus shipping if you want but as God as my witness the other one is great. I wrote a review on it if you would like to read it. Seriously though I am easily disapointed by products I buy. But when I get a good deal I will tell the truth on reviews since that is who I am. However if it was a negative I like to write the negatives just as much and maybe even more. I hate getting burned on things online. Since it costs you to send them back.

Its quite simple to use, just a plug and play in essense with some light software though I don't think its needed. Its cheap and the picture is what you would expect from a webcam. The lights on it I could take or leave, nothing special there.

I bought two of these, one of which never was recognized by any PC and never even lit the LED's. The other did light the LED's and I could see picture for a couple of days, then it started connecting and disconnecting from the computer (the USB status) while still plugged in. I tried it on several computers with the same results - finally it just quit connecting completely (but the lights still light up).
I contacted DreamBargains and they offered a full refund for both if I send them back to them. I checked and the cost for me to pay to ship them back plus my time isn't worth the effort. I'll keep the around as "dummy" security cameras.

This camera did not provide smooth, quality video. I ended up purchasing a different camera, that did what I needed.
