4.0 out of 5 stars Quality match the price!
Build quality is ok for $30 and it is not to bulky. It provides more light than the on board flash from my XTI but will drain the batteries a bit quick, then again that's normal. In the future I will get a canon speedlite but for now this one will due.

3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
The flash on my camera is broken, so to get me by I bought the Digital Concepts hotshoe flash. My biggest complaint is the battery compartment. It is very difficult to get the batteries out to replace them. I need to use needle nose pliers to get them out. Putting them in is not easy either. Poorly designed. Otherwise the flash has worked fine. It does take a while for it...

This is a piece of garbage. It lasted just long enough to take about 30 Christmas pictures. Just spend the extra money on the Canon Flash.

Bolted up to my new Cannon Rebel XS and works much better than the built in flash. Wish it had some sort of built in diffuser or something of the like but for less than 30 bucks it is worth taping on home made diffuser. Eats batteries.
