I have an old e-book that takes Smartmedia cards. The reader on my computer gave out, so I bought this one. Plugged it into a USB port on a Win 7 machine and it was immediately recognized. No software necessary. I was a little concerned from the description that it might only be a reader, but it also writes.

This SmartCard works to download the pictures taken on my "older" camera straight from the card. I didn't know it could be so easy. Thanks.
