I bought this light for my samsung digital camcorder and it's a complete waste of money. I charged the batteries per the instructions and set it up. It's not bright enough for someone or an object that is 2 ft in front of you. Barely lit up anything. If that wasn't bad enough, the following day I went to try it out again and the batteries were dead. I had only had it on for a minute or two the previous day. I thought I might have left it on (doubtful!) so i charged it again and it didn't hold a charge. Waste of money for only 2 minutes of dim light!

This light is avertised that it can be used with Samsung SC-MX10, MX20, HMX20C, and SMX-F34 Flash Memory Camcorders. I recently purchased SMX-F34. This light will not fit the SMX-F34. I contacted Samsung Support and asked if the CV-1800R could be attached to the SMX-F34 and their answer was NO there is no light available that would work. And I see no way the light could be attached. The CV-1800R would make a nice night light to find ones way in the dark.
