Product Description

The Digital Concepts 55mm Macro Filter Kit includes four close-up diopters at +1, +2, +4 and +10 magnification, and a durable carrying case. These filters simply screw onto the front of any 55mm lens, and will maintain resolution and picture clarity while magnifying image size. Plus, these filters are double-threaded, which means you can combine them to achieve increased magnification, or you can attach additional optics such as polarizers or skylight filters. These macro filters are ideal for photographing small items and focusing in on details of coins, flowers, jewelry and insects, as well as industrial photos of miniaturized components, medical and dental laboratory work and other scientific photography.

I searched for these after I saw them reccommended in a digital photogrpahy book. The author reccommended them as a fantastic money saver. He was right! I've taken some amazing macro shots with them since! Even one where you can see my reflection on the tip of a fine point, ball point pen.

Hundreds of dollars cheaper than buying lenses and still highly effective!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great Panasonic FZ35, February 17, 2010

This review is from: Digital Concepts 1 2 4 10 Close-Up Macro Filter Set with Pouch (55mm) (Electronics)
Ordered these to be used with my Panasonic FZ35. Must use lens adapter DMW-LA3 (had to get generic adaptor off e bay for 14 bucks couldn't find cheap adaptor here). Must zoom into 2x at least to get rid of black edges. I am able to zoom up to 72x with 10+ lens. Must move camera body back and forth to get best focus first just like a magnifying glass. You can use 2 lenses at a time with the stronger closer to the camera. Comes in a pouch. Great price works awesome. I posted a ladybug picture with no tripod and the ladybug was moving all over. No bad for first macro pic with these lenses.
