5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality lenses for the money, construction has some bugs.
I've used Macro lenses before, so I pretty much knew what to expect.

The +1 and +2 sizes offer a minor enlargement of your image.

The +4 is a good medium magnification without much (if any) distortion.

3.0 out of 5 stars +1 and 2 will autofocus
the smaller filters attached to the 18-200mm VR will allow the camera to autofocus, however the +4 and +10, will not work. The +10 won't allow manual focus either. For the price, I kept them for diopter filters #1 and 2.

I've used Macro lenses before, so I pretty much knew what to expect.

The +1 and +2 sizes offer a minor enlargement of your image.

The +4 is a good medium magnification without much (if any) distortion.

The +10 lens is a blast!! It's like having a telephoto lens for objects within 1 foot of your camera. Obviously, there is a lot of lens curvature if you zoom in through the +10 lens, and my only complaint is that you can't zoom through 100% (I've found that the focus caps at about 75% zoom...for any object that's not practically touching the lens, that is). Some people might not like the chromatic smearing and distortion along the sides of the frame, but I think it looks cool. Plus, it doesn't distort *that* much if you don't zoom in too far.

People that want to magnify without getting distortion can combine the +1,+2, and +4 lenses together, for a decent magnification that doesn't distort or smear as much as the +10.

The lenses are very clear (well, they're new), and the construction is OK. The +1 and +4 lenses have a very "loose" grip on the lens...it's a bit nerve racking because you can hear the lens move around the metal frame, so in that respect, there is definite room for improvement in the production quality of the metal frame. The threads are also a bit on the rough side on the +1 and +4 lenses. They thread correctly, but they don't "snap" into position easily. I had to hold my camera vertically to make sure the threads were going in level.

Still, for the money (I paid $10) it's a great deal. I would've paid twice that for the same lenses.

OVERALL
+ Great lens clarity
+ Stackable for +1,+2, and +4 lenses
+ Zoom through and autofocus work very well in all lenses, but better in smaller mag.

-Metal ring is a bit loose on some of the lenses.
-Can't attach +10 lens to other lenses.
-Casing could be a bit higher quality.

I am very pleased with this product. I had some concerns from reading other reviews, but decided to order anyway. It works great, but you really need to use a tripod, especially with the 10X. The autofocus does not work with these on my camera, but that's OK, because I can still use the manual focus. Great product for the price!

If you want an inexpensive way to sample the world of macro photography before you plunk down the bucks for a "real" macro lens, this is a good transition. Or if you are not terribly critical and just want to have some fun getting up close, this is GREAT!

I was a little apprehensive about ordering a "cheap" set of filters for my video camera, but after I got them in, I really love them. As with any macros I've worked with, you pretty much have to work in manual focus, and the higher the count on the filters used, the shorter the depth of field, but that's to be expected.

The pictures I got were great.

While these aren't the highest quality diopters, for the price you really cant get much better than these. This is a great way for any one looking to get a start in macro photography with out spending $100's on double lens diopters, extention tubes, macro lenses, or lens reversers.

Do not work at all, I tried them on various Nikon camera and lens combos and they did not work at all. The filters distort subjects, prevent you from focusing and skew everything in frame. They are also very poorly made. I returned mine in about 2 days.

These do their job. They allow you to get very close to a subject to get a large immage. They are stackable and the glass seems clear enough that stacking does not seem to have any adverse effect. I would suggest not using on a lens wide open, because things dont seem as sharp, and the DOF is SO shallow, perhaps 1mm or so.

We purchased the Digital Concepts 1 2 4 10 Close-Up Macro Filter Set as a Christmas gift for a family member. The item arrived within three days, and considering it was a few weeks before Christmas, I was very pleased with the delivery. The person getting the gift was very thrilled as well with the product and the nice pouch they store in.

Very pleased.
