5.0 out of 5 stars amazing!
I searched for these after I saw them reccommended in a digital photogrpahy book. The author reccommended them as a fantastic money saver. He was right! I've taken some amazing macro shots with them since! Even one where you can see my reflection on the tip of a fine point, ball point pen.

As it states this is a magnification lens not a macro,it does not replace a macro lens.auto focus and manual focus would not work when u mount this lens.to get a clear picture you have to change the object distance from the lens and maintain a fixed focus on camera. so literally you are disabling the all technologies in your camera and replacing it with moving the object...

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great Panasonic FZ35, February 17, 2010

Ordered these to be used with my Panasonic FZ35. Must use lens adapter DMW-LA3 (had to get generic adaptor off e bay for 14 bucks couldn't find cheap adaptor here). Must zoom into 2x at least to get rid of black edges. I am able to zoom up to 72x with 10+ lens. Must move camera body back and forth to get best focus first just like a magnifying glass. You can use 2 lenses at a time with the stronger closer to the camera. Comes in a pouch. Great price works awesome. I posted a ladybug picture with no tripod and the ladybug was moving all over. No bad for first macro pic with these lenses.

4.0 out of 5 stars For people like me who insta-buy when they see the low price..., July 2, 2011

This review is from: Digital Concepts 1 2 4 10 Close-Up Macro Filter Set with Pouch (55mm) (Electronics)
So I bought these without doing any research, really was buying a few other filters and thought I'd add these to the order (after meaning to look into them for a couple weeks). So you know how to install it, Can't stack a CPL on top of the 10x but you can on any of the others. On to the pros related to use: they produce great results, I just had a honeybee taking up about 1/16 of the frame (if you divide into a 4x4 grid, he'd take up one of the boxes). Another plus is that you don't lose autofocus or metering, however the former comes with reservations.

Here is the bone of discontent: With the 10x on, I was able to focus from 4" or so from a subject to about 8" from the subject, using a 50mm F1.7 prime. The adjustment was done with the focus ring. With the 4x, things slightly improved: I was able to get focus from 4 inches to about 12. And I started to use AF again because i realized it would work, but only within a 4" range on the 10x and 8" on the 4x.

Am I happy with my purchase? Sure who wouldn't be-- it's 2011 I spent $11 and actually got something!
Just make sure that you have read the above.

Was a little skeptical about these because of the price, but went ahead and tried them out on my Sony SLT-A33 with the 18-55mm kit and 55-200mm zoom lenses. On the kit, they all work extremely well when zoomed in to 55mm. Zooming out to 18mm you can see black edges, but with these you want to be zoomed in anyway so that doesn't really matter. The 55-200mm Zoom lens, the max with clear results is 200mm with the +4. This set is WELL worth the price and I'm looking forward to taking some really interesting shots.

not great to shoot jewelry (usually macro lens 100 mm f2.8 with florescent filter will get you superior results)since focus distance is 1/2-4 inches ,not that particle, and the camera will be in the way .the camera will go out of focus easily if the object moves, recommended use on a mount the object is between the camera and light. It will be rare to use them.

I have a new Sony A290 and decided to try these out. They work well. I've managed to take some pretty amazing pics of my sundew! (Just make sure they're clean before you use them - mine had some mold on them. I cleaned these out fairly easily with lens cleaning paper)

the magnification lenses were a great alternative to actual motorized macro lenses. everything came as described and the shipping was on time, although not the optimal speed.

The set allows ultra close up pics for a VERY REASONABLE price. The lenses are nicely packaged in a portable protective sleeve that easily fits in a camera case.
