For the love of all that is holy, don't waste money on this. At first, I believed it was a good buy, but then after two times of using it, I had trouble with my computer reading my memory card. Two hours later, I find that this reader destroyed my pictures from my last shoot, ruined all of my existing information, and I now I will have to purchase a new reader and new camera cards.

Please, please, don't buy this!

Worked well for one day. Then got extremely hot and would work sporadically. Then quit working completely within a week or so. Do not buy this unless you like throwing your money away. I'd give it zero stars, or minus 5, if that were possible.

i don't know what the posted transfer rate of this thing is, but it was bad enough to force cheapo me to buy something that does perform -- the sandisk extreme usb/cf reader.
lesson learned -- check the transfer rates before you take the plunge.

Compact flash cards use pins to make connection to device readers. The pins on this one bent after abuout 10 uses. The reason I believe is that it doesn't guide the compact flash card into the reader. The hindged cover broke as well. Overall not a well build reader.

The product worked well for one month, the stopped working. It also fell apart a few times. I liked it because of its size, but not very sturdy.

I bought mine at Radio Shack. I unloaded one card with it.. the next day I tried to empty the same card again of a few new shots. My computer could not find the device, and the reader itself got very very hot. Only then did I start to look on the internet to find help.. it seems I am not alone in my problems with this thing.. I pulled my CF card out because of the temperature..not wanting it to get damaged, only to see that some folks have lost their images with this.. China's worst.. CF card reader I gave it one star because I had to to get the review online.. thats the min

I bought one of these while traveling this week, and didn't have the opportunity to check Amazon. If you are reading this, you got the opportunity - run, don't walk, away from this junk. It destroyed EVERY ONE of my 100+ vacation photos and I am P*SSED! The CF card is totally blanked, and has to be reformatted just to be used again! This is typical of the junk that dominates in the computer/digital photo accessory world - poorly engineered and built with the cheapest components possible. I threw mine in the garbage as soon as I got home. All my vaca pix lost because I forgot my download cable and bought this criminally shoddy junk.

doesn't even deserve a star, since it doesn't work with my mac or with any size of compact flash. If you order this you might as well flush $10 down the toilet!

Very slow rate of transfer, and pin number one bent the second time I used it. Now, second pin is bent and it's useless. I'll be purchasing a new and improved version today.

Prompt delivery, and it works to download my Canon A40 pictures to my HP laptop running Vista. I have not had any problems.
