Water evaporation from neck area is very effective in cooling the body.
It does not look much, but it lasts for hours and is really nice for working in summer heat. Try it.

It takes a while for the crystals to soak up the water, so it is best to start soaking in the water the night before (I put them in a frig) if you start out early in the morning.

"Cool wrap" keeps your core body temp normal, so you stay cool in the heat. It has been 100' and I stayed cool. No heat stroke for me!

Works fine. But not as thick as a couple of others thatI have. However they are decent for the price.

This neckerchief does the job. It's not quite as sturdy as the neck bandana it replaces. (That one fell apart after about six years. But it's useable and incredibly cheap, since there were four neckerchiefs in the package. I would have liked it to stay cold longer.
