I love that Xbox Arcade has the games we grew up with available for download (or purchase via Amazon). Sitting down with my children and playing through levels I played through 20 years ago is worth the price! As an added bonus, my children now understand what I mean when I get hungry and say, "Blue Dad needs food badly!"

I never played this in the arcade. so i cant tell you how close to that version this is, but what i can tell you is that this game is loads of fun to play. this was one of the very first games i downloaded for my 360 when it first cam out. and i just had a blast playing it. its a decent game if your playing alone but if you can get a friend or three to play with you then you've got an all night party.

After pausing form Halo 3, a full screen extravaganza... to play Gauntlet, it looks kind of dinky on my screen. It's very true to the original game (possibly a direct port from the arcade).
