5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, April 15, 2000
By
"bobodoc1" (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Digital Empire: Electronica's Best (Audio CD)
WOW is the appropiate way to describe the selections on this cd. Any reviewer who thinks this cd does not deliver the best in electronica really doesn't know anything about music and is not allowed to read ANY of my reviews.

Prodigy's "No Good" and "Choose Life" featuring Ewan McGregor are the songs I use to pack the dance floor as well as BT's "Flaming June", Atomic Babies "Smiles" and The Propellaheadz "Take California".

I can never get enough of "Fat Boy Slim's" BIG BEAT. "Going Out Of My Head" delivers big time with a sample reference to The Who's "Can't Explain". And definilty check out Doormouse's "414". It is the most hardcore dance track I have ever heard.

Also this cd's pacing is very good meaning it doesn't drag like most techno, dance & electro cd's.

This is one of BoBo's "Required Listening" and is the beginning of an awesome collection of music for you. Digital Empire II & III deliver the same type of diversiry as this cd. Try this one first

5.0 out of 5 stars --- KEEPING IT REAL ---, January 31, 2000

This review is from: Digital Empire: Electronica's Best (Audio CD)
I was just browsing around and had to review this album for one reason. I don't OWN IT, but I own all the tracks on this 2cd compilation (except two). This is by far one of the best compilations for ANYONE who is new to electronic-dance-club music and is a steal. Figure it this way. I've been a long time listenener of this type of music and what you're going to get cost me upwards of $200.00 buying all the different cds. But I got to listen to it all FIRST. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the best albums around, June 6, 2001
This review is from: Digital Empire: Electronica's Best (Audio CD)
This album is kind of old, as new releases of Digital Empire have been sold, but this one remembers some of the good artists of the end of the millennium. And that's why you can see how this product got sold out when it first came out. You open it up, put CD1 on your player and then you know you won't stop listening to it, starting with Prodigy and ending with Doormouse on CD2. Definitely, this is really worth buying.
