5.0 out of 5 stars Great digital picture frame, December 2, 2005
This review is from: Digital Foci Image Moments Digital Photo Frame (Walnut Wooden Frame) (Electronics)
Great gift for grandmom and grandpa to show digital photos from all their grandkids. Good resolution, good viewing angles, plenty of features we will probably never use. A little expensive - for a little more you could get a cheap laptop and set up a slide show, but for non computer literate people it is great. Slide show comes back up after a power loss, etc. Only on the market for a month, and heads and shoulders above the competitors. Maximum slide show delay is 10 seconds, would be nice if it was longer (an hour or so) so it would be more of a changing picture than a slide show. Also, no usb connection and no apparent way to update the bios (but I could be mistaken about that).

Excellent desktop photo option. This LCD device has a bright picture and a reasonably wide viewing angle before the picture starts to dim. The frame itself looks very nice - I like the walnut better than the ash (hides the remote receiver dot better). It takes most memory chip formats, and will accept more than one at a time. Play is simple - just insert the chip and turn it on. Very nice for those who fear technology!

A couple dings: 1) There is no way to edit the contents of the chips; 2) There is no USB connection; 3) There is no random slide show option, the pictures always show in the same order (by file name); 4) Only JPG image formats are accepted; 5) Kind of pricey.
