This solution is only filtered water and a tiny bit of isopropanol alcohol.

If you own a Skip Dr. DVD cleaning machine or maybe another brand, this cleaning fluid works wonderful.
M. A. Hughes
The machine may last a long time, but you have to be generous with the fluid.

Assuming this is the same liquid in spray bottle that came with my Disk Doctor kit, it's just distilled water and a little alcohol (denatured or isopropyl, makes no difference). Make your own --that's what I've been doing, almost free. What they really need to supply with the kit in addition to the abrasive wheels and water lubricant, is a very fine buffing compound for final finishing, like the MicroGloss plastic polish you can get from Micro-mesh corporation -- but expensive! Meanwhile, I've been final finishing my treated disks with a very mildly abrasive car wax like Black Magic or NuFinish to give finer surface than the Disk Doctor does.

This solution is only filtered water and a tiny bit of isopropanol alcohol. I expect the alcohol is only there so they can say they sell a solution and not just water for almost $3.00 per ounce.

I am an optician and was an optical lab technician for several years. To edge polycarbonate (the same material disks are made of) straight water is used. Distilled would be best and is way cheaper than buying this solution.

I bought this product as I did NOT know what else to use and think it's VERY expensive for what it is.

If you investigate this product you find out it's only a distilled type of water with a tiny amount of alcohol(less than 1%).

The bottle is probably the most expensive part.

How cheap! They don't even include the little buffing square and polishing cloth. As others say, this is nothing special. Just distilled water and alcohol. I was under the impression that it was something special. It's not. Especially considering you don't get new cloths.

I Bought this Resurfacing Fluid for my Skip Dr, Cd, DVD, and Game Repair Kit worked great, Im happy with it, I don't see a problem with this Resurfacing Fluid, I had a cd full of fingerprints and Scratches and this Resurfacing Fluid did it all and now it looks like new, It's not expensive to me i thought it was a great deal, Finally i could buy the Resurfacing Fluid alone without buying the whole kit together, Also im glad that i could buy the Resurfacing wheels alone,

Peace

I am glad they sell it separately from the wheel. Plus it contains alot more fluid than what comes with the kit to begin with. It comes in handy for those rentals that have been through hell.

I purchased this extra bottle of rejuvenation fluid to go with the Skip Dr. repair kit. I was at my grandson's house and saw all kinds of DVD's, CD's, video game discs just laying around and very dirty. I purchased the Skip Dr. kit and and extra bottle of fluid to clean up all the discs. In the past, this fluid has worked fine in my kit. It is a good product.

I used the Skip Dr. products for a couple of years. They do an adequate job for the average user. However, for professional use, (i.e., those who use it more than a few times a year), there are much better products. I'm currently using the JFJ Easy Pro Repair System, also available on Amazon. It does a FAR superior job to the Digital Innovations products and is no more complicated to use (but it is a bit more expensive).
