Two of the last three UMD's I've ordered from Amazon were just sliding around in their cases when they arrived. Because of it, the mount in the cases scratched them, one severly. And it's not the first time. While I was able to return those, others purchased elsewhere aren't always so easy. A tool like this is useful on such occasions (FYI: I own 86 UMD movies/games). As far as the 'screw' issue metioned by several others here, be serious. If you have that much trouble with a single screw, maybe you shouldn't be trying to remove scratches on your UMD's all by yourself.

I received this as a gift and had no trouble getting the screw out. Maybe there was a bad batch of them out there or they simply fixed the problem. Either way, mine seems to work well. I have to agree that the discs shouldn't really get to dirty or scratched to begin with so I'm not sure how useful it is but it is small and easy to use. If the only complaint is the screw then I think that's likely been fixed.

If you want to clean your PSP games &/or movies, look elsewhere.

First off, you need a very, very tiny screwdriver to even put the batteries in this thing (which isn't provided). So if you don't have that screwdriver, the product is useless until you get one.

Let's say then you spend the extra money to get a screwdriver, ok... You think you're ready to clean some UMD's...

You try to begin to unscrew it.. Then you realize the company has the screw so far in there, its barely moving at all. Eventually, the steel of the screw gets worn out fast due to its size & you're left with a $10+ dollar product that is now & forever useless, all because the company was incompetent, & stupid.

Do not buy.
