Now here are the facts. The file installed and plays great. I'm running Windows 7 home edition. It is the exact game that was in the arcade. Right down to each and every 'move beep', which can be turned off/on in the menu screen. It looks crisp and plays well. There are minor glitches with some of the video transitions but overall, I am very pleased to have one of my favorite classics running under windows 7.
But, it has the full length game in a movie like form. Also, it has the intro (front loader) splash.
There is also an arcade version of DL. Nice job! I did play this on my Windows 8 machine once and loved it but put it back on my 7 machine because really I wanted only my work stuff on my 8.
I may purchase the other two.
Whether you have played it before or are new to the Dragon's Lair series, this is a true arcade classic.
The game itself is just as silly as ever - the odd combination of smooth & herky-jerky animation makes me feel like a 13-year-old again, watching someone else play the game at Chuck E Cheese (damn thing was NEVER open). It's a tough game, all about the timing, but it's loads of fun - and if it's sometimes a little glitchy, well, that's part of the experience too. Great buy for $10, especially if you're of a certain age.
