Well if you ever played this in the arcade you remember the 1 minute screen promo that kept repaeating. They actually included that in this game. Game works great. On the easy levels your timing needs to be close though. But if you played the arcade game remember you had to be perfect. I have saved daphne and kimberly in the arcade several times and these games rock like the arcade. enjoy!

Huge Dragons Lair Fan! I was only 16 when DL came out in the arcade. No lie, I spent over 100 bucks mastering it at 50 cents a play.
Now here are the facts. The file installed and plays great. I'm running Windows 7 home edition. It is the exact game that was in the arcade. Right down to each and every 'move beep', which can be turned off/on in the menu screen. It looks crisp and plays well. There are minor glitches with some of the video transitions but overall, I am very pleased to have one of my favorite classics running under windows 7.

The description states that this contains "1080p Fully Remastered HD Video", but the .wmv video files are actually only 720p (1280x720) in the downloaded product.

On my Windows 7 machine! It works really well. It has all the cleaned up graphics from the original and cartooning is sharp. What makes it different from arcade is the fact that the menu is more like a software rather than what you see in the arcade version.

But, it has the full length game in a movie like form. Also, it has the intro (front loader) splash.

There is also an arcade version of DL. Nice job! I did play this on my Windows 8 machine once and loved it but put it back on my 7 machine because really I wanted only my work stuff on my 8.

I may purchase the other two.

Works just like the arcade game. It also allows you to see the whole story. It's cool. There are a couple of options on how to play. One is arcade style and the other is by the numbers/steps using your up and down arrow/cursor on you PC keyboard.

This version includes the original arcade version and the laserdisc "home" version (the difference is how the game ran... in the arcade when you died it would not repeat the same state but would instead give you a different stage to try, whereas the laserdisc version you keep trying the same stage), with the same options the arcade had to either show the moves or not, plus the ability to just watch the animation without actually playing.

Whether you have played it before or are new to the Dragon's Lair series, this is a true arcade classic.

The download, installation, and application worked perfectly for me (Windows 7 user).

The game itself is just as silly as ever - the odd combination of smooth & herky-jerky animation makes me feel like a 13-year-old again, watching someone else play the game at Chuck E Cheese (damn thing was NEVER open). It's a tough game, all about the timing, but it's loads of fun - and if it's sometimes a little glitchy, well, that's part of the experience too. Great buy for $10, especially if you're of a certain age.

I loved this game back in the 80's (oh my.. so many quarters gone). It's great being able to play this once again on systems at home! I'm happy to see it available through the MAc App store now as well. If you have a Windows machine and want to play an awesome arcade game from the 80's, grab this!
