My initial review of this product was not good, but the company has solved my problem and they have exceeded my expectations by providing excellent service.

A great product! The only one I've used that consistently gave ungarbled sound in a variety of locations.

I have the older model and my new iTouch isn't compatable with it so I bought this model. I don't feel like it has as good reseption as the older model had. I absolutely think its the best one out there on the market though. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this used and was happy to find it in first top shape. It works great and I have really enjoyed using it on long trips.

I was so pleased with the Transdoc. It works great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for ease of use and a good product. I did a lot of research prior to buying and these reviews help in decision making.

Third one of these that I've purchased. The first was stolen, the second I still use & the third was a gift. About the best of its kind, IMO.

Ive tried 5 other transmitters for my wife's Accord and this was the only one that worked without static. Would recommend this 100% to anyone.

As you can see right in the item name/description it states "Digital Lifestyle Outfitters TransDock Classic for iPod and iPhone (Black)". So you can imagine my disappointment when the item arrives and all of the packaging and instruction sheets only mention the iPod. If you want to use this item with an iPhone, you have to go down to your nearest RadioShack and buy an additional cable that connects from the headphone jack on the iPhone to the Line Out jack on the DLO unit, thereby increasing your costs. I haven't done this yet, so can't say how the sound quality would be using this option. This problem of iPod items falsely stating that they are iPhone compatible seems to happen on many websites with many products, but I was surprised to see this issue on Amazon. I'll be more wary in the future when buying accessories for my iPhone.

I purchased this product for use with an iPod classic about three years ago. The product is still functional three years later, and I have had no major issues with it.

I have used a variety of other FM transmitters for iPods and prefer this one to all alternatives. Other products either don't charge (use audio output from the headphone jack) or don't dock (resulting in my iPod sliding around my dashboard or front seats).

The features of this transmitter are pretty simple and probably what would be expected of a good transmitter: charging, moderately strong signal output, storage for up to 6 channels (especially good when driving across state lines on a regular basis, which I do for work), and an option to find an optimum broadcast signal. The last of these functions is not always spot-on, and I often have to search for a radio signal which allows better transmission, but this is really only a problem when driving alone into new territory. Otherwise, it's an easy job for the passenger to search for a strong signal while you keep both hands on the wheel.

The best, and most unexpected, feature of the TransDock Classic was the inclusion of various angles/extensions for the cigarette lighter plugin. This allows users to position the dock into the most convenient fit, specific to his or her vehicle. I drive an Impala for work and the cigarette lighters are positioned very awkwardly, which would be a problem if these extensions were not available.

Unit works some times, but there are fewer FM stations not in use in our area. I would not buy it again, but I'll use it when I can get reception
