The Gold Standard,
By JollyJim1 "PaJim" (Northern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Digital Logic and Computer Design (Hardcover)
I've got the '79 edition. Things have changed, no doubt, but the essential basics of digital logic and computer design may not have change so much. This book actually explains them, taking you through the whole thing. There is much redundancy in the way it is written, much overlap between one sentence and the next, etc., so that you are not left scratching your head about the relationship of a new idea to a previously explained one. Toward the end it actually takes you step-by-step through the actual design of a digital computer. I suspect that this single text is the "Gold Standard" for pedagogy in this very important technological area. Credit to Professor Mano for putting it all together in a comprehensible text.

I had this book when I was in College, all my courses on digital electronics were based on this book. Now I decide to get it again because I loose it. I do not need nothing more to refresh my knowledge about digital topics.
