What's great about this book is it takes the time to break the digital marketing space into its separate parts and has an expert in each area explaining the real nuts and bolts of how it works!

If you're into generalities and cliches, this is definitely the book for you! If you're looking for light overview without any actionable steps to execute, this one is definitely a winner. The sales pitch at the very end for WSI really rounds it out nicely.

But seriously, if you really want to learn about digital marketing strategies and techniques, skip this one. Grab a copy of Inbound Marketing by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah or Duct Tape Marketing by John Jantsch. They not only give you detailed information, but provide actionable steps at the end of each chapter that you can start implementing right now. This book is nothing but a sales pitch for an agency.

This book combines the specialized knowledge of 12 experts in diverse fields of digital marketing resulting in uniformly excellent chapters on all the covered subjects. This book is a gold mine of information for novice digital marketers. And as I said, no one can possibly have depth of expertise in all the covered subjects so even digital marketing pros will find new insights in fields outside their specialty.

Excellent high level overview for the busy executive, but not overly simple where is omits key considerations. There are dozens of books written on each of the 12 subjects, but this book provides an overview so you walk away with the essential facts needed to understand the subject.

So this book was very informative. It gave me alot of good information that i didn't even know was out there. I gave it a three star cause it was a bit wordy at time. I found myself skipping whole chapters but i would probably go back and skim through it again.

If you look for a quick and simple intro to digital marketing , this book is a good choice because it try to communicate the concepts very clear , you should keep in mind that at the end of the book the authors are trying to sell their services but , hey , that is what business is about....otherwise is a good reading
