This book is divided into two sections, one on traditional filters and one on digital filters. The author shows how traditional filters such as the 81 warming series can be easily replicated with software. He also shows how to imitate the neutral density gradient as well as other filters in Photoshop. I've been able to apply most of the methods to Paint Shop Pro. This is a serious cost consideration, and I appreciate the information and methods shared in this book.

For anyone inclined to get into filter techniques in any type of photography, I would recommend this book. It is a good overall guide with clear explanations of filters and techniques.

I had a really old book on filters, printed in the 70's. this one is loaded with very precise information goes into some detail about some of the filters and uses and gives photographic examples of what they do. very good book
