Although not ultra technical, its still got plenty of solid technical info without being overwhelming. This is a great book for lawyers, admins, or others looking for a solid uderstanding of computers and networks in law offices.

This review is from: The Digital Practice of Law (Digital Practice Series) (Paperback)
This is a good solid overview of technology for law offices. While not ideal (though certainly still usefull) for highly-technical IT staff--it is an excellent choice for attorney's looking for an orientation to technology. It is also a very fine book for non-technical office managers who need a grasp of the technology. Even a junior IT staff memebr would glean much from it that is specific to law offices. More senior IT staff would find several chapters less helpful simply because many years of IT will have already prepared them for the disussion found in the first few chapters of the book. Still, even senior IT would gain a little from the chapters dedicated to specific law software. All told, a fine and useful book. |
