Ordered the Digital Wide Angle Macro Lens for my TRV17 that I've owned for nearly 10 years and little did I know this add-on lens would change what I was seeing forever! It was like wearing new glasses for the first time, when you say "OMG! I can see now!"

Being that this is a handheld camera format, I expected the add-on lens to be something that was overly big and would not match the small handheld size of the TRV17 camera. Instead the add-on lens is very small and matches the camera's lens ring exactly. It would appear at first glance that my TRV17 camera came with the add-on as an Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) item. Thus, you will not see this add-on lens as an oddity.

Attaching the add-on lens was simple, just screw it onto your camera's lens ring. However, I already had a UV lens filter attached, and believe or not the add-on lens fit right too it. So, the TRV17 lens, the UV filter and then the Wide Angle lens all together...which equals awesome wide views.

As for the view of the lens itself, there is no fuzzyiness or outer area blur due to the fish eye effect. In fact, there is no fish eye effect whatsoever. You will be very pleased with the resolution, as well as the fact that you can capture wideviews in otherwise short distances from the subject; you'll also be surprised how close you can get as opposed to what you're normally would be use too.

Finally, I would recommend this lens to anyone with the models listed for it's use. Do order it from Amazon, as it came in the mail, via UPS is less time than what was specified. I was very surprised that it came so quick...
