I bought this lens for a little more room in tight spaces. I did not expect anything to great for the price, but the picture quality of my HDC hs 300 was less than a 1/3 of what it is like without it or with the Panasonic 1.5x tele. There is very obvious vignetting with this converter, you can zoom in past it and still have wider angle than without it, but overall I would guess more like .3x or .25 without any vignetting. The lens cloths are very good ones. I don't think I will even bother carrying this around with me, picture quality is one of my main points in filming. Also it included a step ring which I was not expecting.

I've owned this product for quite some time and I must say that I rarely use it. It's sharp and doesn't make the footage look like it's in a fish bowl, but if I zoom all the way out I can see the edges of the the wide angle lens and I can't stand it! That takes away from the "wide angle-ness" of an otherwise okay product.

It came with a step down/up ring so that the lens would fit my camera. I was very dissatisfied with this. I wanted something that just fit.
