The right book for the modern RV'er,
By RV full-timer (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Digital RV (Paperback)
I was very pleased to get this book, because as far as I know it's the first of its kind. The author gets into all kinds of very useful and fun technology for RVs, and he clearly knows his stuff because he uses it all in his personal trailer.
The best thing about this book is that it's written in a very down-to-earth style that is easy for anyone to understand, without being "too basic" for advanced users. He explains the choice between different types of mobile Internet, video systems, laptops, GPS, and even gives tips on how to get good technical support. I love this book and will probably buy the second edition if/when one is produced.

The perfect book for the RVer!,
By chickenbells (AZ USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Digital RV (Paperback)
I am not currently an RV owner, but have always wanted to have a vintage Airstream...I enjoy the fact that the author not only has an Airstream, but has been living in it for quite a while, giving all his information extra credibility, there's nothing like reading expert advice from someone who is putting their ideas and knowledge to work on a daily basis! I currently have the second edition of the book, which has been updated with even more information than the first. The book is written using basic language and directions, not only does he go into detail, but also goes the extra mile to help explain concepts with pictures (which is helpful if you've never set up your own systems before, and you want to do it yourself) In fact, there is so much useful technology information, I am looking to implement a lot of it in my own home.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to immerse themselves into the digital age in a safe and fun way!

The Digital RV is an awesome book. While it is on the cutting edge of teaching how to actually deploy advanced technology in your own life, it also is offering a glimpse of what our future might hold, in a world where are become more "untethered" from a permanant address. There are many reasons to read this book!

Poorly written,
By Retired writer Mort "Avid reader" (Memphis, TN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Digital RV (Paperback)
It is hard for me to believe that this book was proofread before it went to print. It has many typo and grammatical errors, as well as misspelled words. Because the presentation is so poor, it is very hard to follow the subject. Therefore, I cannot trust the technical information.
