I have used Sony cd-r's for years: product number 100CDQ80LS3T. I almost never had a disc fail to burn, definitely less than 1%.

That product has apparently been discontinued. So I bought the product on this page.

And the failure rate for these discs has been about 25%.

Thanks, Sony, for replacing a good product with a crappy one.

If you own the great SONY RCDW500C CD RECORDER/PLAYER you know what a problem it is to record on a CD. These CD Disk are perfect and work so far 100%. This is also a great buy when you do quantity. The last place we could find these type CD's (CD-R Music) was at CVS and BestBuy. This price and quality is a much better choice.

I cannot believe the price on these and you are getting one of the BEST brands you can buy. There are only a few brands that actually make their own DVD-/+R/Ws & CD-R/Ws Sony is one of them. many of the other companies alternate between manufactures with the lowest price at the time being the deciding factor for which one they buy from. Since I can't remember the companies I won't list any that do this but they are top name brands. This explains why you are so surprised that you get more coasters than when you bought them before. I can go through a 100 pack of Sony with no coasters but it helps if you ONLY STACK 50 DISCS and no higher. I wish companies would stack 2 50 packs in a 100 disc bundle. I would not go higher than 16X when burning videos. Although digital is the best quality reproduction it still has an audio & video sync problem that hasn't been eliminated, yet. I can say I haven't encountered that with videos I have on Sony media. I would buy these now even if you don't need them because this is a RARE price for the BEST you can buy and the different colors are just plain FUN.
