I have used Sony cd-r's for years: product number 100CDQ80LS3T. I almost never had a disc fail to burn, definitely less than 1%.

That product has apparently been discontinued. So I bought the product on this page.

And the failure rate for these discs has been about 25%.

Thanks, Sony, for replacing a good product with a crappy one.

If you own the great SONY RCDW500C CD RECORDER/PLAYER you know what a problem it is to record on a CD. These CD Disk are perfect and work so far 100%. This is also a great buy when you do quantity. The last place we could find these type CD's (CD-R Music) was at CVS and BestBuy. This price and quality is a much better choice.

I cannot believe the price on these and you are getting one of the BEST brands you can buy. There are only a few brands that actually make their own DVD-/+R/Ws & CD-R/Ws Sony is one of them. many of the other companies alternate between manufactures with the lowest price at the time being the deciding factor for which one they buy from. Since I can't remember the companies I won't list any that do this but they are top name brands. This explains why you are so surprised that you get more coasters than when you bought them before. I can go through a 100 pack of Sony with no coasters but it helps if you ONLY STACK 50 DISCS and no higher. I wish companies would stack 2 50 packs in a 100 disc bundle. I would not go higher than 16X when burning videos. Although digital is the best quality reproduction it still has an audio & video sync problem that hasn't been eliminated, yet. I can say I haven't encountered that with videos I have on Sony media. I would buy these now even if you don't need them because this is a RARE price for the BEST you can buy and the different colors are just plain FUN.

Arrived with a broken spindle in the middle, but the disks were OK. A bit inconvenient, but useable.

I can't remember the last time I stared at an inanimate object and said "I want to murder you" while I snapped it in half, but I find myself doing it on a regular basis with these discs. For every 4 or 5 discs that burn properly I'll get 2 in a row that fail at about the 50% or 95% mark. And you know what I just realized? The colors are stupid. It alternates between blue, dark blue, purple, turquoise/green, and incredibly bright yellow. The yellow is the only color you can write on with a black marker and be able to read without putting forth a lot of effort. All the rest of them are dark, and quite frankly pretty similar to each other (but not complementary at all). I'm not sure why I wrote so much about the color since what's on the other side of the color is complete rubbish anyway. Until I hear somebody singing from the rooftops about how great Sony's new storage media is I'll be vehemently hating them.

I bought these CDs to copy some of my music. Over 1/2 of the CDs were bad and I had to buy another brand of CDs to reburn them. They really wasted my time.

i use this cd for recording sermons at my church. it's almost gone now and not even a single cd failed. i'm getting more of this in future.

This is my second purchase of these Sony discs and the price is very reasonable. The last purchase contained no bad discs and I am expecting a similar experience this time. The only negative - a slight one - was the packing of the shipment. My first order was ill packed and the spindle arrived with the packaging damaged. This time the packing was marginally better. While there was no damage it was still not packed adequately with the likelihood of damage still remaining high. That is the main reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5.

The best working CDRs (music) for my Sony CD burner. I hope they never quit making them. I'm having a hard time finding them in stores any more...

Best price on the net for 100 pack Sony music cd-rs. Most reliable blank disc brand.
