Editorial Reviews

2012 album from the Alt-Rockers. I See Stars exploded into the mainstream in 2011 after making their national television debut on the ABC late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! This coupled with being featured on the covers of Alternative Press, Outburn and Substream Magazine and touring all across North America with Black Veil Brides and D.R.U.G.S. on the "AP Tour" helped the band gain legions of devoted fans. However, in 2012 the group are poised to have their most successful year yet with the release of their much anticipated third full-length album. This effort was recorded with acclaimed producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Of Mice & Men) and the end result is a propulsive blend of aggressive music alongside build ups that spawn from the core of Techno/Dubstep/Electro.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Blend March 18, 2012
Format:Audio CD
This album is a perfect blend of the first and second album while still very melodic it also it heavy hitting. I recommend this album for fans of bands like Of Mice and Men and Asking Alexandreia. A good representation of the album quickly in one song is filth friends unite. Go get this album life is too short to miss out on this Perfect album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exponentially better than the second album April 23, 2012
Format:Audio CD
Enjoyed the first album, hated the second. Luckily, this album sounds VERY different from the second. Fun to listen to and much less "poppy", finally. Definitely worth picking up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Balance, finally!! June 12, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Since their inception, I've waited for these guys to reach their full potential, and this record proves they've finally done just that. Their debut record, 3D, spawned a few tracks that were instantly put in my "favorites" playlist. The tracks What This Means to Me, Save the Cheerleader, the Common Hours, and most especially Project Wakeup were given multiple rotations on my iPod. As a matter of fact, I even created a ringtone from the final breakdown of Project Wakeup, which I still use today (along with other ringtones of this band).

Upon the release of their sophomore album, End of the World Party, I was excited to hear the progression that had inevitably taken place and expected to be amazed. While they had progressed in sound, it seemed as though they got softer; this, in my opinion, was the wrong direction to go. I found very few songs even tolerable on this album, but out of devotion to a band I knew could do better, I still included The End of the World Party, Over It, and Upside Down to my "favorites" playlist.

Considering the last album, I was very apprehensive to download their latest, Digital Renegades, but I gave it a listen online and was pleasantly surprised! These guys finally found that sweet spot between melody and hardcore, which is exactly what I was hungry for. Not only did nearly every song on this album become an instant favorite, but this became the new album to which I compared all others. The only song that did not make the "favorites" playlist this time was iBelieve, but they more than make up for it with the rest of the album. The guest vocals from Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria (another favorite band of mine) and Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday are like the icing on the cake! Put simply, this album rocks from start to finish!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for... May 9, 2013
By Julian
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I had recently been put on to this band. I'm a record producer and run my own recording facility out of Boynton Beach. I knew about Joey Sturgis from his work as a producer with Devil Wears Prada and We Came As Romans and I was looking for another heavy band that had singing in it. This fit the bill perfectly and there was even a cherry on top when I found out Cassadee Pope was featured on this record as well. She's from Wellington, which is only 1/2 hour from where my studio is. Needless to say, I'm a big fan and have heard a lot about her. Anyway, I couldn't find this in stores around here and was actually pretty ticked at the notion of having to buy it online. Luckily it was under $10 and only took a week to get to me. All is good.

Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
What and excellent album!! These guys are extremely talented and progressing in a great way. They mix together so many different aspects in such a smooth way, its truly impressive. I usually prefer heavier bands, but this group has so much talent, versatility and passion it makes it almost impossible to dislike.. Just awesome music!!
