1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware, August 5, 2009
This review is from: 2x Digital Telephoto Professional Series Lens + DB ROTH Micro Fiber Cloth For The Nikon D3 D40 D40X D50 D60 D70 D80 D90 D100 D200 D300 D700 Digital SLR Cameras Which Have Any Of These (18-55mm 55-200mm 50mm) Nikon Lenses (Electronics)
Okay, so I was dumb enough to ignore the other bad review and order this lens anyway. With my Nikon D60, this lens produced severe vignetting -- really bad-looking images with ugly halos around objects.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that while this lens will physically screw into any 52mm lens, it is not designed for use with any of the Nikon digital SLRs. The manufacturer's website for this lens (Sakar, Part Number 1452T) does not list *any* actual Nikon products with which this lens is compatible, in fact. (The Nikon model numbers listed are actually Fuji Finepix model numbers.) Once I pointed this fact out to the DBROTH folks, they immediately sent me a return authorization, though I had to eat the return shipping.

It is rather disappointing to find that a month later DBROTH is still fraudulently advertising this lens as a Nikon-compatible product, WHICH IT IS NOT.

I put this 2x telephoto adapter on a Nikon D50 with a Nikon 55-200 mm lens. The optical quality is real bad. I could not get the camera to focus. The higher you zoom, the worse it gets. Labeling this as "professional series" is far from truth in advertising.

Messed with my focus, doesn't attach too well, doesn't work with all my lenses, just not a good deal/option.
