I bought this go onto my desk I put the batteries in and no kidding a the next day I come in the lcd reading is just about not readable. the batteries I put in there 3 AAA batteries were brand new. tried again with three new batteries and it did it again. I threw it out in the garbage where it belongs

I bought this with the hope that it would continuously display as shown in the product picture. That was not the case. To get the display to light up, so you can actually read it, you must press the display backwards. Unfortunately, this also causes the display to cycle through the various functions like date, alarm, etc., four in all. So, at night, if you were to want to see the time, you would have to press the display four times to get there, and it only stays lit for a very short time.

This product has a very bad design.

The watch and the thermometer are both sharp and accurate and for me this is VERY important, I have mine for a year now and I use it mostly to show temperature. One reading at a time, every mode changes the screen so you can stay on clock/temperature/full date/timer from 99.99mins/alarm. When timer or alarm beeps its sound beep-beep and with every beep-beep it lights and goes thru every color in the display. >>>> Yes, you can light the display on all the time you want (use buttons below for this), in one specific color you can choose or in a one second non dimmed change pattern than goes thru red/yellow/dark blue/light blue/purple/white/green, but this feature is a battery eater, The ONLY drawback I see on this item is the screen itself. It have a kinda narrow viewing angle (up/down, side by side is ok), so you have to stay quiet (if you are too close to) or the numbers on the screen fades almost to disappear. I dont like either the flimsy base, its made from a very cheap plastic. Of course, this is a desktop item, is not designed to play around with it, and from now on, whit a fresh set of alk batteries installed a year ago, it goes like new and the time accuracy is ok (I set all my clocks whit the atomic clock time).
