2.0 out of 5 stars Publishing in desperation !, March 12, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Digital Video Broadcasting: Technology, Standards, and Regulations (Hardcover)
I am surprised by the amount of errors and typos in this book! How such an erroneous book can get passed the publishing checkpoints and get published, is a question to ask. The organization of the book is very scattered. Especially the Digital transmission section has many errors and only selective parts of the technology is explained and outlined. The explanations and discussions on the broadcasting system block diagrams are incomplete and adds to the confusion of the reader. I believe the book needs to go under a major revision until it becomes useful for average readers. Nevertheless since the book tries to cover a wide spectrum of DVB subjects, it could be considered as a starting point to motivate readers to go and find out more about the subjects that were mentioned very briefly in the book.
