How such an interesting topic can be handled so boringly is perhaps a strong clue as to why this volume is not readily available.

More substantive reading can be found by other writers in the field who actually ARE artists or who have more sensitivity to this relatively new area. Gene Youngblood comes to mind.

While some of the writing is dry, this is a well done book that covers the field as it was fifteen years ago when this book was published.
