Pocket-size analog multimeter, YG188Mini Multimeter

This dvm was exactly as expected. It is small. It has limited readout. but it works.

I bought one of these from Harbor Freight for $2.99. I opened it up to install a 9v Duracell and was amazed to see there was already a battery inside. Gives accurate voltage readings as well as current readings. But when switching the probe to the mA jack and selecting the proper range (<200m), it fails to give a reading. Luckily pretty much any amount of current I care about will register on the 10A range which works fine. I guess I have a faulty one, I'm not going to bother returning it since it was so cheap.

It costs less than a happy meal and is much smaller than my bulky analog Craftsman so that's nice when you have a bunch of other tools and junk you're carrying around at the same time. No continuity tester though which is too bad.
