if ps3 vs vita has any relevance, many crossplay titles required separate purchases and being that ps4 is next gen (if they release it for ps4) it's a safe assumption an additional purchase is required and saved games will not transfer whereas trophies will stay with the PSN account
How cow an intelligent answer. I haven't dealt with the Vita so I didn't know how they were handling the cross plateform games, but ultimately it does make sense. I know ultimately they are out to get as much money as possible, but in my mind I think it would be messed up if they do ultimately release the game for the PS4, even if it is a whole different console, and then make people repurchase the game in order to play it on that system. Especially with the release date so close.
unless times are changing, every next gen release typically leads to the same game on both platforms with save games being lost with the previous gen... as cool as it would be for console developers to hook the gamer up, it is a business after all :) At least both companies are cool enough to track all online/offline accomplishments with the same account.
