80s rock in the 90s.,

This review is from: Digitalia (Audio CD)
Had this been 1989 instead of the dread decade of boring grunge/alternative rock, Jester would be the "it" band. However, only true fans of 80s hard rock will get a kick out of Jester's second release, for all others will be too ashamed to admit how catchy these songs are. "Anything and Everything" is the stand out, and while "Digitalia" lacks the power and meaning of their debut, "Tales From the Boogieman," it is definately a great place to start with a band that will be huge if rock and roll ever rises from the ashes.

This CD, just like their debut CD "Tales from the Boogieman"..if you can find it......Rocks! I am a big fan of 80's Metal, and after seeing this band at The Birch Hill and The Wreckroom in NJ.......I had to get the CD's. These guys are preserving the music what is almost extinct now a days in music, and they deserve credit . I rate them number one along with FIREHOUSE for being true to their style music, and being loyal to their fans. I recommend it.

Unlike the guy from the jersey shore with "bitter band syndrome", I dig Jester and hell yea I goto those summer rock shows, I guess I'd be bitter that Jester played on the fountain stage in Jersey when Poison was there in 99. 80's influenced yea they are, so what? You can't expect people to cite Zeppelin forever can you? Digitalia is a good album, buy it.

Digitalia is the "Hysteria" of the 90's,

More cohesive than their first album, Digitalia boasts tunes such as "Radio" which is speaks of the demise of 80's hard rock and lets you know where you can find it, a definite hit. Anything & Everything is my fav, melody and lyrical prowess, in the vein of the goo-goo dolls but not as tame, "More than I know" is THE best ballad I've ever heard and no matter what decade it is, will be a #1 hit single. Nothing is missing with this album, I definetly reccomend it.

Good Night, the Party's Over...,

Growing up in the '80s was great. You could turn on the radio and hear Poison, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Slaughter, and countless other "hair bands" that defined the decade with their loud guitars, rhyming verse, and elaborate stage shows. But alas, that time is gone, and Jester seems to think that people will go out and buy their newest album. And they will, if they're one of the white trash that still attend the "Metal Monster" shows at the PNC Arts Center every summer with the likes of Dokken and Cinderella. If this was 1986, I have no doubt that you'd be hearing cheesy angst-ridden numbers like "More Than I Know" all over the airwaves and MTV. But as long as N*Sync, Backstreet, Britney, and Eminem rule the radio, Jester will have to keep their glimmer of hope alive that maybe, just maybe, people will really give a crap about guitar solos and what color some girl's fingernails were that the lead singer met at a bar. If you're on the Jersey Shore, come see Jester live at one of the local "hot spots." It's quite a hoot. I can still remember the days when they were "Joker's Wild" or "Tic-Tac-Dough" or something like that. At least then, they could get away with it. It was still the early 1990s, and Warrant was still making records too. But some people never learn, and Jester is one of them. Musicians? No. Rock stars? Maybe. Outdated and sad? Definitely. I wouldn't be quitting my day job just yet. Find a time machine first, guys, and then put in your two weeks.
