5.0 out of 5 stars Have a mental year with Dilbert!!!!
Scott Adams has done it again! I saw this 'mental block' in a store and bought it! I am so glad I did. What most won't tell you is--this is not just a calendar/monthly Dilbert cartoon, it is also a desk toy. The blocks open and unfold, revealing new sides/months---it almost reminds you of a Rubik's Cube, but with Dilbert and Co. This item is a must-have for the Dilbert...

3.0 out of 5 stars I don't understand?
How does a cube, which only has 6 sides, display a 12 month calendar? Can someone who's bought this please elaborate?

Also, the previous reviewer mentioned that it was fragile. What is it made of?

4.0 out of 5 stars It's worth $4, February 20, 2001

I received one of these as a gift from a friend who had received 2 for the Holidays.

It is a 3"x3"x3" cube made up of 8 1.5"x1.5"x1.5" cubes fastened together with sturdy paper. When folded into the large cube, each of the six sides displays a monthly calendar. Fold the cube inside-out, and the next six months appear.

Many of the people who have seen my calendar marvel at the simple ingeniousity of it, and ask where I got mine.

Contrary to earlier reviews, I have found my cube to be quite resilient, as it has traveled to several desks with me (I'm a consultant) only to be treated to more handling/oggling at each site.

It doesn't create world peace, it won't teach your children physics, but ... it's useful and mildly entertaining.

Just as a warning don't place this any where where it might fall a few feet on to a hardwood floor, chances are it won't survive :(
