5.0 out of 5 stars The best tea on the market
For years tea lovers in the USA have had to resort to importing Dilmah, probably the finest in the world (it revolutionised the domestic tea market in Australia when it was introduced there twenty years ago). 1.0 out of 5 stars No flavor!
I am so disappointed! After reading the great reviews I decided to order this tea. I was so excited when it arrived and immediately brewed myself a cup. It had NO flavor! It was like drinking warm water. I find it hard to believe that we are even talking about the same tea here. Adding a bit of honey did give it some taste, of honey. What was I doing wrong...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best tea on the market, February 21, 2008

For years tea lovers in the USA have had to resort to importing Dilmah, probably the finest in the world (it revolutionised the domestic tea market in Australia when it was introduced there twenty years ago). Beautifully fresh (vacuum packed for the loose-leaf teas), finest leaf, richly satisfying, fairly traded, among tea connoisseurs Dilmah is more an institution than a regular tea company. By purchasing their products, you will not only be indulging in the ultimate tea-drinker's experience, you'll also be helping a multitude of award-winning non-profit programmes instituted by Dilmah's enlightened management. There should be more products like this. Do yourself a favour and buy some today.

Yes, I can attest to the delightful sipping experience. The green tea is smooth and light. Individual foil packs keep the tea fresh. The price is right. Perhaps, the best green tea I ever sipped. I will be ordering more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really is this good..., March 21, 2008

I first started drinking this when I lived in Egypt (it's hard to find in America--at least in Colorado), and it really is wonderful. It's smooth and light, and has a beautiful amber color. I pretty much drank it daily (throughout the day) for two years. Now I'm in Mauritania and it's not available, so I'm going to have to ship some over from somewhere. Note, I only drank the green tea (I can't testify to the black).

I agree completely with the previous rave review for this fabulous tea! I discovered Dilmah tea while in Europe last winter and returned to the states with several boxes. Once I ran out I contacted the company and they have thoughtfully kept in touch with me. Just moments ago I received an e-mail from them letting me know that I could now purchase Dilmah at Amazon.com. Now, moments later, here I am! Join me and treat yourself to this delicious tea - you will be so happy you did! (BTW, the Dilmah company customer service is as personable and wonderful as the tea is grand!) ~ENJOY~

This tea is terrific. I have to say usually I need to add sugar to tea to make it taste better but just this tea itself is awesome. The tea is light and flavorful. I don't think there's really anything else to say...but I will definitly be purchasing more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars best green tea ever, May 31, 2010

My wife and I are devoted green tea drinkers. We discovered Dilmah Tea at a resort in Mexico. Could not find it locally, so ordered it on Amazon. It has the best body and flavor of any tea we have tried. The company's founder is devoted to both the ecology and community of workers in Ceylon. It is worth visiting their web site to learn more. (No, I do not work for them!) Have yet to try their other teas, but will probably do so.

The best teas are from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). The best commercially available Ceylon tea is Dilmah. The black tea has deep flavor and a smooth finish. The green tea is surprisingly flavorful yet delicate. You will not be disappointed.

What was I doing wrong? Correct temp, correct brewing time, but no taste. To give you an idea of my tastes, here are some teas that I purchased here that I enjoy. I really like Guayaki Greener Green Tea Blend, Tea Bags, 16-Count Packages (Pack of 6)I am getting low on that and purchased this Dilmah tea as a replacement due to a better price. Big mistake. The greener green is really delicious and flavorful. My favorite. I also enjoy Davidson's Tea Bulk, Gunpowder Green, 16-Ounce Bag and Davidson's Tea Bulk, Organic South African Rooibos, 16-Ounce Bag. That is a great bedtime tea. And I enjoy Stash Premium Fusion Green & White Tea, Tea Bags, 18-Count Boxes (Pack of 6) and Stash Premium Decaf Premium Green Tea, Tea Bags, 18-Count Boxes (Pack of 6). All great. I also have purchasedDavidson's Tea Bulk, Silver Needles, 16-Ounce Bag, and have found that to be kind of on the weak side. In an attempt to get some flavor in my cup of Dilmah tea I tried brewing 2 teabags. That resulted in some flavor, but not much. I get much more flavor from a second brewing of my gunpowder tea leaves. I feel bad giving this only 1 star, but it is easily the worse tea I ever tasted. A total waste or money. What am I doing wrong?
