Really wavey, won't make for a clean looking install.
on December 21, 2013
It may be that I just got a poorly packaged product, or maybe I'm too picky, but here was my experience:
Package shipped quickly (thanks, Amazon), but when I received the product, it was really wavey and almost looked like it had melted inside. Upon opening, I found that both sheets that normally would be separated from each other and the plastic sides of the packaging by 3 separate wax sheets (one in between, and one on each outside), were only separated by two. Thus, one of my sheets was stuck to the side of the packing pretty bad and was tough to get out. Once both were removed, I was expecting some very straight sheets, much like what you'd see in a smartphone screen protector. Mine weren't; they were wavy and had obviously absorbed some sort of heat to mess with their natural flat shape. I wanted to try them anyway since my alarm clock is too bright, even on its lowest setting.
Using a credit card to get a clean and bubble-less install, I slowly placed the item over my alarm screen. It does stick well, but the install simply won't come clean. There are quite a few bubbles, and I noticed after I got the thing on decently, that the sheet had absorbed a lot of the print from the packaging, since it was stuck to the side of it. Now my screen says things like "Patent Pending," which was on the package.
So, does it dim the screen? Yes, considerably. Does it stick? It seems to stick well to my flat plastic Sony alarm clock face. So it works, but the shipping condition left a lot to be desired and therefore it made this install not look as clean as my standards would like.
