I was ecstatic to be able to find a 1" road fork for so cheap! Paint quality seems good, the fork itself is a good weight not too heavy, but solid construction. A couple notes about this fork: you will probably need about a half inch of washers to mount your road caliper, because the fork is very thin (I used the $20 origin 8 road brake caliper, and the nut wasn't able to thread enough to tighten the brake to the fork, easily remedied with some spacers). Also, for some reason, the base of the steerer, above the brake mount, the tube has a 1" portion where it is slightly thicker, like they welded a ring around the steerer. This didn't affect the functionality at all, just when you look really close at the bike the fork doesn't sit completely flush inside the steerer tube. I thought maybe I was missing some kind spacer or something but I don't know what that is all about. Anyways like I said, it doesn't affect anything at all. Great fork to put together that extra frame and parts you have lying around into an extra bike to bring a friend on a ride or just to have a spare ride.

Bought this fork recently to replace a broken fork on my older road bike. It was a breeze to install and feels great to ride with. The crown race I had slid right on and everything else was a breeze from there.A few things the listing doesn't provide: ~The threading is ISO ~The fork takes recessed mount brakes ~The brake reach is about 46mm - I was able to mount Shimano R450 brakes barely (they're technically 47-57mm), though a shorter reach brake would probably be better. 2115|R74LDYDEIXGRG;2115|R389TSBE35UZ01;
