Good Product, Good Supplier,
This review is from: Dimension Steerer Extender 1-1/8 Black Threadless Adds 2 to 3-1/4 " (Misc.)
This stem extender does exactly what it is supposed to do. I had to really torque the stem bolt to properly seat the headset bearings, but that wasn't a problem as it's very easy to tell when it's not tight enough (the fork wiggles in the head tube, especially while braking).

This product will definitely solve your handlebar height problem if you can get it to work. In my case, no amount of tightening would secure the extender to the threadless steerer. I used a very long cheater bar with my allen wrench to get the pinch bolts as tight as I possibly could. The extender would still slip around the steerer tube. Definitely not safe. I ended up buying an adjustable stem that allowed me to set the stem at a very steep angle. Worked perfectly.

I use this to raise my bars on my GT Zum. The only complaint I have, it only comes with one shaft bolt. My bike needs a longer bolt so I'll have to find one at a hardware store that will work. It also has a plastic cap that will strip easily.

A must for tall riders,

If you are tall, you know how it feels to ride a bike that's too small... Your body has to contort to fit, but you can eliminate that lower back scrunch and over-reach imposed on your arms by raising the bars with this extender.

Needed to add some height to fork stem that had been previously cut. Worked well & didn't look
like a "band aid". Note of caution......you may need to replace your cables if they don't have enough "slack" to accommodate added height.

Using a couple of hex wrenches, I was able to install and adjust this in under 20 minutes. I was fortunate in that I didn't need to replace the cable. Doesn't look too bad, but I'm getting to the age where comfort supersedes looks. If you want to sit a little higher, I highly recommend this product.

My Gf wanted her trek 7500 to give her a more upright riding position. I purchased this extender and a new stem to fit the bill. This gives her a similar set up as my 7300 a more upright ride.

Great build and product. Took 5 minutes to remove my handlebar, and add extender. The bolt that came with the product was long enough and am very please with this item. Def a must buy to taller riders who are looking to raise their handlebars.

For My Arthritic Back,

I don't care how "dorky" it may look to all the purist out there - it works. The owner of my LBS (local bike shop) added this to the bike of my dreams - a 2011 Raleigh Sojourn touring road bike. I can finally get back on a road bike without my lower back killing me within 6 - 7 miles. 20, 25 even 30 mile rides are not out of the question with no pain.
I realize 30 miles doesn't sound like a lot to those who have completed "Century Rides". But consider having degenerative bone disease in the lower back & arthritic knees - then try it. Enough said?

This is an excellent product and does exactly what is intended to to. By increasing the height of the handle bars it offers a more comfortable ride with less strain on the back or wrists. I have two moumtain bikes and have purchsed one extender for each.
