This book is awesome. I found out how to do projects that I had been afraid to start and feel confident that I can do them now. Very well written, self explanitory and pictures give very fine details. Good for beginners to challenging.

3.0 out of 5 stars Watch where you buy November 13, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I love the book, But watch where you buy the book from. I thought I was getting the book and DVD , the book was in excellent shape but the DVD was missing. I tried to contact the owner of the book shop but they would charge me shipping and a return fee which was more than the book. So I have a book I really can't use. I would suggest be very careful of where you buy books. I use Amazon when ever I can.

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book from a great lady, but no disc. July 11, 2012
By Ken
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm surprised that in the previous reviews there is no mention of a lack of the advertised CD (or DVD). This e-book is in the Kindle Store, and it is plainly stated that it is the Kindle version of the book. I know what you are thinking, how can anyone expect to receive a CD that comes with a book when that book is an e-book? That's why I wrote to Amazon to ask if I would receive the CD in the mail. The listing plainly says this is a Book and DVD. All Amazon CS could say is that I could return the e-book, and give me a credit. Nice, but it doesn't solve the problem of not being able to access the 18 designs on the disc (whichever kind it is). So Amazon probably is just taking the description of the printed book, and using it for the Kindle edition without even thinking about leaving off the part about the included DVD (or is it CD?). They need to make this plain. The book is full of beautiful designs that I can only look upon. I can't print them out from my Kindle. More than one section of the e-book talks about "The DVD that accompanies this book..." I'll have to ask Deborah about this. I doubt she even knows that Amazon is selling the book this way.

I bought this for the shadow embroidery design which is just gorgeous. But there is so much more, many projects I will stitch. Great book, well worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some interesting projects January 5, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I read the book, cover to cover and honestly doubt if I will complete any of the projects. They just are not something that would go with my décor, but the processes might help on some other future projects. I did get the CD with the tutorials and designs. I might use the designs in different ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick Seller! October 24, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I purchased this for some help with ideas and helpful instruction with some of my existing designs so that I can make items for the craft shows for next year. The bonus designs are great but were just that, a bonus. Most of what you buy really don't come with a lot of instruction and I have little time for chat rooms and forums. Great idea for me!
