Dimensions Needlecrafts Paintworks Paint By Number, Leopard In Repose

I've recently started doing Paint by Number again, which I had not done since childhood. I'm now in my 40s. I can't draw a horse that doesn't look like a dog, and the people I draw look more like each other than anyone actually living. So I'll never be an artist. But I'm a grad student, full-time writer, and part-time college instructor, so my poor brain is always in overdrive. Paint by Number requires close attention, and can be fairly intricate, but doesn't require my brain to work particularly hard. It's a perfect relaxation hobby. I truly enjoy watching an image emerge from a line drawing, and some of the finished products are quite lovely. Not high art, but a pleasure to look at nonetheless.

This kit wouldn't be appropriate for a very young painter; I would say middle-school age at the youngest, and probably somewhat older. It's quite intricate and might frustrate a younger child. But adults will really enjoy it - both the task and the outcome.

I have found that I enjoy Dimensions PBN kits the most, because of the mix of excellent scenes, quality paints and good instructions. In some other companies' products, I have found sections without numbers, so you have to look at the kit front to see what color to paint. Some are confusing. Dimensions kits never have a glitch.

The first time I saw Cardinals in Winter, I had to have it. I resisted several weeks because I had several kits I hadn't finished yet. But finally I got it, and it's just as lovely as I thought. I love snow, I love the Victorian era, and cardinals are a favorite of mine. A great combination.

The kit was shipped to me quickly and well-packaged. The price was acceptable. I would recommend the kits and the seller.

Paint by Numbers is a fun activity, but this particular one is not for children. The intricacy of the design, plus the fact that you're working with paints that will stain clothing and the furniture, limits this activity to those 13+.

That being said, this is a beautiful design and looks great when it's completed! Definitely one of my favorites out of the paint-by-numbers I've done.

I thought this product was the best numbered painting I have ever
done. It was well structured making painting it much much easier than
others I have done. I am now putting on the finishing touches. I
really enjoyed painting this picture. Everyone who has seen it think
that it is the greatest. I would like to paint another one that is
designed as well as this one.

The paint by number arrived in less than a week. The picture is very clear and easy to read, which is great as this is a gift for my 77 year old mother. She recently started painting and thoroughly enjoys it.

There are many cardinals around in Williamsburg, and they make such a beautiful addition to the scenery where I live. This PBN captured that feeling of the cardinal's bright contrast to the colors around him -- set off by the little berries on the tree branches in the snow.

I just can't resist the beauty of this picture. The design is quite sophisticated, and the company that produced this PBN kit only uses the best quality components for their craft kits.

If you love the relaxation of PBN, this would be a great project to do next!

A complicated paint by number. Rated a 4 because I think the paints could be better quality. One of my first but turned out beautifully. Learned some technique, did some free style on the eagle wing (the print was not true to the pic) but it turned out well. The mist/fog was the hardest part. Made my day when neighbors stopped by and ooohed and ahhhhed about my "talent", not knowing it was a pbn. :) I'm going to seal it with an acrylic varnish; something I learned by researching an art supply site. Should include this suggestion with the key. Overall a great buy for a quality product!

This is my first time working with paint by number but I didn't want something easy. It's a great project on which for me to focus. The paint brush and the paints are pretty good too. Good overall.

This was a joy to do, I framed it and it is now on my dining room wall. People can not beleive that it is a PBN. I will be buying Dimensions Paintworks again.

I was laid up with an injury when I did this painting by numbers. I enjoyed doing it and it came out very well. I gave it as a gifts later.

This is a nice ctep up painting. Mother at 85 with some slight handshake was still able to complete

Quality colors as they definitely match the picture
