3.0 out of 5 stars A Curious Book
This is a very curious book. The author presents alot of information form a English/Western-centric viewpoint. He knows about Plato and Pythagoras but [apparently at least in this book] little about Egypt and India. 3.0 out of 5 stars A Curious Book, November 29, 2010
This review is from: The Dimensions of Paradise: Sacred Geometry, Ancient Science, and the Heavenly Order on Earth (Paperback)
This is a very curious book. The author presents alot of information form a English/Western-centric viewpoint. He knows about Plato and Pythagoras but [apparently at least in this book] little about Egypt and India. He spends alot of time in Gematria which is an adjunct to Sacred Geometry but not the entire story. Many times the theme comes back to the New Jerusalem and the NJ star. But if you are looking for a breakout from a Euro-centric perspective to Sacred Geometry (SG) you will be disappointed. And this is a common problem with SG books. Most authors cannot get past the Greek or Medieval understandings of SG.

If you want to go back further in time and recover some more ancient principles then John Anthony West in Serpent in the Sky: The High Wisdom of Ancient Egypt is a good resource. He makes Schwaller de Lubitz, a master of SG, understandable. If you are looking for current teachers in SG then you can check out BioGeometry TM by Ibrahim Karim. Also Charles Gilchrist is another reliable source. I would however avoid Drunvalo Melchizedek. DM's earlier works are worth a look The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life). However there is little that you can apply and his later works become an ego-trip Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012.
