easy for beginners,

My husband and I are surprising our kids by making this stocking for our newborn grandson. Neither of us has ever tackled a project like this and we're having a blast. The directions are very easy to follow. We are almost done and have only been working on it in the evenings for an hour or two...it's been only a week. One tip we would give is buy some iron on fabric sizing for the back after you're done with all the stitching. Or line it with a fabric. We are opting for the iron on - easy approach. It's beautiful and looks exactly like the picture. Pretty good for a couple amateurs!
