1.0 out of 5 stars High Failure Rates, December 15, 2009
This review is from: 48 Dimmable Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs.15w=75w
It appears that there is only one actual type of dimmable 23W CFL from China, and they all have very high failure rates, 6000 hour "warranty".

These have been released as "Greenlite", "Harmony" and as "U Lighting America". They have their own "UL" logo to make it look like they're UL listed.

Overall, myself and others included, there is a 50% failure rate on these bulbs within 3 days. I couldn't get warranty on mine that failed the day they were installed. The company's website just lists the bulb information, but there's on contact information. The phone number for warranty is an answering machine with an old lady saying you've reached U Lighting America, leave a message. Several other people have been told that warranty is only good when purchased in California for use in California.

The seller also wouldn't take them back as DoA without negative feedback. Even then, I'm waiting to see.

For most of those that work, the light is crisp white and very bright at full power. As you turn the dimmer down, the light stays the same for about 30%, but the bulbs begin to hum. Past that point, they begin to dim. Past 50%, they flicker. Past 70%, some of them extinguish, or pulsate off and on with substantial buzzing.

For one of them, the light was markedly more pink, but otherwise operated the same way as the others.

So basically, avoid these bulbs. Go for the Sylvania, Earthmate or GE brands with good reviews.Hi

The price is right. Longevity is bad.
I have used many other brands. they also have longevity issues. Non of them are what they advertise as far as life expectancy. these are not much worse than other dimmable fluorescent bulbs. They are however significantly less expensive.
I use them commercially. I have over 500 running all day every day.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality Bulb, February 23, 2010

This review is from: 48 Dimmable Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs.15w=75w
We have purchased about 400 of these bulbs over the past several months and had about 125 fail. Some fail within a few days. We followed the Warranty directions on the box.........and was told by some guy that could barely speak english...... these bulbs were only to be sold in California. He says the folks we buy these from purchase the bulbs for around .25 cents, then make big profits selling them on line. The folks outside the State of California are out of luck on any kind of Warranty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Works but burns out Fast!, May 21, 2009

These bulbs burnt out very fast. On average they were lasting about a month and a half. We were not using the dimming very much and they still only last that long. When you dim them we heard lots of "singing" from the bulbs and they don't dim very well - of course this last part is probably common to fluorescents.
I would not buy these again.

The lamps fail rate is really bad.

I've bought 48 of them one year ago and now I'm down to 30 working ones and most of them are on fixtures we don't use much.

This is definitely less expensive than similar products out in the market. The only drawbacks are when it's dimmed in very low mode, it tends to flicker although to be fair some incandescent bulbs do that too. Not all but a few of them do 'buzz'. Quality control could be better but then it's made in China where we get tainted milk, pet food, medication creeps up sometimes. I guess you get what you pay for.
