This review is from: 24 Dimmable Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs.23w=100w
I bought these bulbs for a 5-bulp dimmable fixture in our kitchen dining area. They have an audible and annoying buzz at low settings making them useless for the purpose for which I bought them, which was to be able to dim the light when we wish. I put the old incandescent lights back in and am using these as (expensive) replacements for non-dimmable fixtures.

Number one: These bulbs do not dim in the same way as incandescent bulbs. They do not dim gradually. Rather, as you push down the dimmer, it stays the same until you finally push it down far enough that it will drop to a second quantum level of brightness. This might be necessary because of the nature of the technology, and it is certainly worthwhile, when one considers the money saved and the decreased carbon-footprint of the product.
For those of you who have tried to put standard CF bulbs in dimmer-switch outlets, you know that it significantly shortens the lives of the bulbs. These bulbs have, in general, held up well. However, I did find that one burned out very quickly. It might have been a dud, but, having used only about six, a ratio of one bad bulb in six is not so good. Then again, that ratio might improve as I continue using the bulbs. The light provided by the bulbs is good quality. It works well for reading and for basic illumination. All in all, I find them to be far preferable to incandescent bulbs and they work infinitely better in dimmer switches than standard CF bulbs.
