Waste of good money. In less than nine months three of these bulbs already died. We used them for a couple of hours in the evening during the week and a bit longer on weekends. They didn't come close to the thousands of hours advertised.

Finally found a dimmable light. Like the guy says, they dim to around 30% of full brightness, and their is a slight audible buzz at the very lowest settings (really slight), but for my purposes these work great. Now 99% of my bulbs are fluorescent and the $avings on the ol' energy bill are definitely noticeable. Now if I could only change out the fridge for a more efficient one, I'd be in great shape! :o)

Also, got one bad bulb, but EL replaced it very quickly (3 days), so that was not a biggie. Except for that, I would've given five stars.

I was pleased to finally find a dimmable flourescent light, but it's not a perfect product yet. It doesn't dim as much as a regular light, but it does give you some control (don't count on it for mood lighting!).
