An Okay Grill; Died After One Year,
By
This review is from: Dimplex BPC-2007 PowerChef 216-Square-Inch Electric Outdoor Grill, Black and Stainless Steel (Lawn & Patio)
First, I should point out that this grill requires assembly, and the assembly is not easy. In fact, I had to live with several screws missing since it was simply impossible to get them in.
It had problems: Upon heating up to the required temperature, it would beep until the lid was opened and food was placed on the grill. After a few months, it continued to beep even after food was placed on the grill. Using an infrared device, as far as I can tell, the grill reached a temperature of about 450 degrees; far less than I would like. Finally, after a year, it simply stopped working completely. I did leave it plugged into an outlet that had a plastic cover over it during heavy rain, but that should not have led to its death. Overall, I would not recommend this product.

GREAT GRILL BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO ASSEMBLE,
By Alydar "alydar" (New York) - See all my reviews

The assembly will drive you nuts ! The tools provided are useless. The undercarriage assembly is IMPOSSIBLE. You will end up just using about 2 nuts and bolts but since it's weight will hold it down - two bolts should be enough. I was also missing some spacers in the assembly kit ( company sent repacements pretty quickly after calling ) and to top it all - the instructions are awful and if you place the dimples on two of the legs the wrong way - you will end up having to take the whole assembly apart. Customer service actually gave me the wrong advice and caused me to take it all apart.
Now the only reason I bought this was I own a Dimplex electric fireplace and LOVE IT. But, so far, after much "stress" in the assembly process, it grills pretty well. SUGGESTION: For easy cleaning - line the bottom under the grilling grating with aluminum foil - makes clean up a jiffy process and no need to ever clean the bottom or a caked on grease drip pan.

Excellent Results,

Now that I have the Dimplex grill my family will not let me use our gas grill. By using the pre-programed settings everything I cook is perfect. I do not burn or over cook dinner, especially chicken. There are 4 of us and the grill is large enough to cook everything at the same time. I would recommend this grill.
