This book has it all...glorious pictures and a wonderful, thoughtful text to boot. It'll make anyone's mouth yearn for a chocolate shake and a cheeseburger.

visual treat,
By A Customer
This review is from: Diners (Hardcover)
Enjoyed reading the history of diners and viewing the wonderful color pictures. Only thing that stumped me was there was no listing for the diner on the cover. Found out later that it was called the "66 Diner" in New Mexico. Other than that it is a very good book.

Info in this book is a rip-off,
By
This review is from: Diners (Hardcover)
People who buy this book should know in advance, the info in this book is a total rip-off and was never attributed to where it came from. THE HISTORY book to buy is authored by Richard J.S. Gutman and called "American Diner Then and Now" published by Johns Hopkins University Press. Mister Gutman is the foremost authority on the history of Diners having done the initial research for his book back in the early 1970's.
